Individual Volunteers

While we usually have organized groups of volunteers to pack the bags, we will occasionally put out a call for volunteers on Facebook to help us at events or to replace leadership volunteer positions.    

Volunteering to Pack the Bags

Limited to groups of 10 

If you are a (not-for-profit) group of up to 10 people (children must be over 10) that would like to get on the waiting list to pack the bags for one session during the school year, please fill out the form below and submit it to us.

Please note that we often have our calendar booked a year in advance, so don’t be surprised if you don’t hear back from us soon. We pack the bags on Wednesdays after 3:30 pm during the school year.

Hosting a Fundraiser

Businesses, churches, clubs, and individuals have helped us by hosting a fundraiser for us.    If you are interested in hosting a fundraiser, please contact Deb Peake at 517-927-9008 or at blessingsinabackpackgl@gmail.com with your idea so that we can promote the fundraiser on our Facebook page.

Here are some ideas for fundraisers:

-Party at your home or at a restaurant
-Business fundraiser
-Employee fundraising drive
-Bake sale
-Loose change challenge
-Designated donation through your church or service club
-Silent auction
-Garage sale
-Golf outing
-Bowling event
-Sports or music event
